Jackson Coal Fired A3


Finely-engineered 10mm scale A3 Pacific by Jackson of York (builder’s plate on back head). Represents No.2597 “Gainsborough” (original plates) repainted in black unlined livery, with full “LNER” on tender. Overhauled by M Pavie in 1998, and only run twice since. Specification as follows:
- 3-cylinder with Gresley conjugated valve gear
- coal-fired with loco-type boiler and firebox
- working steam brakes
- all fittings, including prototypical pull-out regulator, new pressure gauge, water-level gauge, blower, blow-down, 2 x safety valves, by-pass, oil tank, brake lever etc.
The loco was featured in the 17 September 1936 issue of “The Model Engineer”.

.The engine has now had an extensive overhaul, and is ready to go.

Great Central Director - "Butler Henderson"


Great Central "Director Class" built by the late Ron Poulter, an absolutely beautiful runner .


Meths Fired, 2 cylinder, axle and hand pump.

This loco has been tested and steams really well and runs like an absolute sowing machine, which you would expect from an engine built by Ron Poulter. 

She was painted by Les Richards, and even though she is well warn still looks very good.

This is the first engine I have had through ASH models I would keep if I could.
